The Kipper Foundation is a 501(c)3 Non-profit organization we started in 2011 to help families of kids with developmental disabilities including Autism, Asperger’s Syndrome, Down’s Syndrome and others.
For many families struggling with disabilities, the simple act of going out in public can be daunting due to lack of awareness of the disability. A child may look typical, but when they have an emotional meltdown in line at the grocery store, it’s demoralizing & embarrassing for parents.
Shame & embarrassment have no place in here! Our goal is to promote a safe and understanding environment for families to enjoy much needed recreational respite.
Of the many activities we sponsor, the Kipper Family Retreat is the highlight. This is usually a weekend camping get-away for the whole family with activities tailored to the needs of participants often including animal therapy, crafts games & delightful talent shows.
The Stowaway organization supports & sponsors Kipper Foundation Activities throughout the year.
